For over 12 years I have been teaching and studying yoga while travelling around the world, visiting many different countries, working, and volunteering often. My yoga practice began in Vancouver with Blissologist Eoin Finn in 2001, which instilled in me a great passion to learn more about the yogic tradition. Of great significance recently was the opportunity to take his 200-hour Blissology training in May 2014 for one month in Bali, an experience that taught me more than I could have anticipated.
After practicing with Eoin in 2001, I began to study with Kathryn Beet of Yoga Space in Toronto in 2002, where I completed a comprehensive one-year training program. The following decade I taught yoga in Australia, Canada, and Thailand, while also teaching English for adults at a monastery in Burma and at an orphanage and school for children in Cambodia. These individuals as well as the people I’ve encountered on my journeys have been some of my most excellent teachers, showing me the true essence of yoga.
I’ve been blessed with many other wonderful teachers as well, such as Tammy Blaze, founder of Yoga For The Soul, David Life of Jivamukti Yoga, Simon Borg-Olivier of Yoga Synergy, Mark Robberds, and Dr. Chintamani Goutam of the Himalayan International Yoga Academy in Nepal.
Through my experiences moving around this planet I have learned a great deal more about life, nature, humanity and myself. Yoga has helped me deal with the discrepancies I’ve witnessed, given me a positive vision for my aspirations, and has been an outstanding practice that I am graced to share so that others may know happiness, equality and peace.
